Question about feeding

catnipcutie Jan 05, 2005 11:07 AM

I have a question about feeding my RES. He is only four months old but has grown alot in that time. He seems hungry all the time though. I give him enough pellets that would equal the size of his head and neck every day and I also give him romaine lettuce at least every other day. I don't want to overfeed him, but I'm not sure what to do. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

RES are always hungry. That doesn't mean they should always be fed. If he is growing fast he is probably being overfed. Try switching to romaine everyday and the pellets every other day. My guys are down to pellets once a week or so, and eat mainly greens. They are chowing down on mustard greens today.

Thanks! He is definitely a chow hound. I'll try what you said.
