My brother and his wife just moved into a new housing development on the SE edge of Washington, Utah. He says it's about 200 yards from the Virgin River. The house was built last summer and they moved into it in October. I've seen pics of the place and checked out the airiel photos on TerraServer. He says its a red rock desert. They're flying back to Minnesota this weekend and I was gonna tell him what they might expect in the form of various poisonous things that might be turning up in their yard, bed, boots, shoes etc. Has anyone Herped this area, is familiar with the landscape and what might be found there? (They have a lawn...with grass!!!) I know...hard to believe a member of my family has stooped to this but they are both in the midst of a mid-life-retirment crisis or something! I'll probably be visiting them in a couple years or so, hopefully before the entire valley is bulldozed beyond oblivion. So...just wondering what they might find crawling around and when does Springtime start up down there, anyway? Thanks. TJ from Minnesota.
