In the dry food bowl, I have a mixture of white millet seeds and juvenile iguana pellets. I like to keep the greens and seeds separate so the uros don't constantly throw around their greens trying to get to the seeds. Both of them have been pretty good about eating their greens and snacking on seeds after they finish "dinner".

By the way, here's Ra sleeping the winter away in an artificial burrow.

They've been in the same tank before with no problems. But since Ra decided he wanted to brumate and she didn't, I separated them so I could get the right brumating temperatures for Ra without upsetting Isis.
Ra is due out of brumation about the end of January, at the latest early February.

Here's a pic of them together (by the way, she's about twice his size).

No, but she startled him in the beginning when he inadvertantly snuck up behind her and licked her tail. She was surprised and tail-whipped him in defense. Luckily for him, she missed and he actually ran backwards! That's been the only incident between them. Since then, they've been great together. He licks her tail and she checks to make sure it's him and not a predator. She basically just ignores him and they share food, basking spots, and places to sleep. They have slept together in the same spots all the time, they love being cuddled up to each other.
I think this is a good sign for potential mating. I'm hoping that the worst case scenario will be that she'll just ignore him while he "does his thing".

it must be great to see 2 uros sleeping together!!
i'm sure they'll mate, when their time comes!
but i'm afraid that Amon will never see his/her partner!yeah i still don't know if he/she is a he or she!(

Not Ra. Isis is my male-mimic female and Ra's mate. She has a gorgeous colouration that really shows after her bath. Ra is currently brumating right now.

ahhh...but is she that bigger from Ra??!
i remember him,, when he was just a little bigger than Amon is now!
when will yoimate them? when is Ra going to end his brumation period?

my guy is good, although he's not eating like a champ right now...i guess it's winter that makes him starve!
he has grown quite a bit.i will take a picture next time i see him outside his tunnel!he's sleeping all the time!and i'm not really spending a lot of time in my room, so even when he is outside i'm not there!
but,i'll make sure he'll smile on the photo!
