Glass thickness for enclosure

Patdf Jan 05, 2005 04:41 PM

Hello all,
I'm wondering what would be a suitable thickness for glass for a bearded dragon tank. I was originally going to build it with 1/4" like a aquarium but was second guessing myself because the aquarium contains water and may need the extra strenght. The largest piece of glass that I would have would be 40Lx18t. Has anyone have experience with the thickness required. Any input would be appreciated.

Regards,
Pat

1/8 to 1/4 should be more than enough. Similarly thick plexi-glass could be used as well.
