A long disconnected "electronically" as it were Y/T catcher of some renown.

I ‘spect you’ve seen his screaming yellow female. Great snake, and great person. Dunno how he got connected in the Y/T importation side of things, but I can assure you that there are a number of us who are glad he was able to do so.

Bobl is the person in question, he earned the nickname “The Wall” due to his ability to somehow funnel all Y/T’s through him first… at least on the East coast.

Jeff Nichols

Doug,

Curious, how hard was it? Are there different requirements for shipping from Canada? Recognize we have some Dry keepers "up" there. Mayhaps your experience along those lines would be of benefit. Particularly if we need to learn a trick or two to complete the transaction.

Observations?

Regards,
Jeff

The thing is, I live near a port of entry, Seattle, and there are USF&W inspectors there to make sure the importation is done properly. Phil did the paperwork for Canadian export, I had copies in hand, made an appointment with the inspectors to be there to review the papers and animals. Once they are done, you take your papers to customs who need to stamp your papers too. Then you go home and put the snakes in their cages.

Others have had more problems importing, but as long as you are importing for personal use and the inspectors have their act together, it's quick and easy.

Also, since Dry's are not CITES animals, they are easy to import.

If you don't live near a port of entry, then it gets lots tougher.

I've gotten animals from Jurgen from Germany..Just a little paperwork..Like DT said, they're not CITES listed, so it's really no big hassle to get them..At least in CO..I'm sure each state has it's own set of rules and regs..
