After three years, my wait is finally over. I now own a male Sharp Strain Albino Boa. Over the past three seasons I've run into problems like: The boas never arived from Germany. I was almost sold a Sharp albino, when the breeder was representing it as a Sharp. A breeder would not refund my $1500 downpayment after not producing any Sharp albinos in many attempts. After telling Brandon Weik of Summit Reptiles about my crusade, he suprizingly sold me his Sharp male he purchased earlier this year. He also sold me an awesome Sharp Dh Sunglow that I would have never let go. It's been a long wait, but well worth it. Brandon is definitely a stand-up guy and I couldn't be happier with my snakes and his service. It's thanks to him I got my other payment back.
I've loved reptiles my entire life but have become obsessed with boas in the past few years. In the past, I've bred Chameleons and bearded dragons. I currently own a pair of Alanis dart frogs, a blood bearded dragon, a female 04 EBV red group boa, a male 04 Sharp albino boa, a female 04 DH sunglow, and a female 02 hypo boa. Hopefully soon that list will include pastel albinos, motleys, and salmon jungles.
I am moving back to NYC (Brooklyn) in the next two years and will only be able to keep a small collection of boas. So my focus will be on breeding only the most colorful, clean, contrasting, bright, healthy animals. I think I am going with the name BOA EVOLUTION. What do you think? Every year something new and exciting is produced in the boa community. I look foward to the endless possibilities and to meeting all of you in Daytona.
Mike
