I work at a pet store and there were these geckos on the inventory list. New Cal. Bumpy gecko..........hmmmm. I was confused. I assumed that It was a New Calidonian species (everyone i worked with said i was stupid and that it was new californian......lol). I typed it up on some search engine....nothing. Typed it up on google then. There were 2 results and I found out that they were gargoyles! Im so excited. I have never heard that common name and have no idea why they used it. I figured they possably had bavayias, but they are pretty rare still, so I was pretty sure they weren't. Common names annoy me sometime....there can be like 5 for every animal.
Quiz for you all.....see if anyone knows. What is:
Short-snouted giant Gecko ?
Knob-headed Giant Gecko?
Rough-snouted Giant Gecko ?
Those i think would be the toughest common names to figure out.....but New Cal bumpy gecko.......how tricky.
I hope he/she is nice and healthy. I will be breeding these soon along with cresteds. I am awaiting to get more crested (or gargoyles besides this guy) untill i go to a reptile show.
