dual probe digital thermometer?

geckobill2112 Jan 05, 2005 06:32 PM

Has anyone ever purchased a "Big Apple Deluxe Digital Two Location Thermometer Dual Probe System" and had a problem with it. I just recieved my order today and the two probes are reading two different temps. they are two to three degrees off. I will be calling them in the morning and discussing this with them I was just wondering if anyone eles has had the same problem.
Thanks
Bill

I ahve noticed this as well. I have about 6 of them and all of them are off buy at least 1 degree. I use them for a "glance" means of checking the temps.. Then if somthing looks way off Ill raytek it to see what s going on...

even the single probe thermometers do it. The "in" reading is usually a bit different than the "out" reading. Is it really going to cause that much of a problem having them a couple of degrees off from one another?

I think everyone should also get a temp gun (like the ones at pro exotics). I use a temp gun and digital thermometers and it works out perfectly. much better than just using either one on its own.

I agree, a temp gun or raytek is a must have for the hobby. Alot of the cheaper thermometers are not desigined to be right on withthe temps.. They cant be for the price..
