I think you will be okay with a baby Colombian or True redtail because as the snake grows and mature you will grow and mature. True redtails should be grown slower than Colombians and their beauty is second to none in my opinion. I think there is enough information that you can find on the net to begin. I'm sure you'll have a blast.

Good Luck,
Alex

All this information and more can be found online and in the countless books that we have all read. Shortcuts will get you nowhere fast.

Here are a few great links, and by reading up on this you will most likely find more links and books with great info.

www.BoaPhile.com - scroll down until you see the "Think Tank" and click on that to enter. Loads of great info.

www.RioBravoReptiles.com - great info and care sheets on most boas with specific localities well detailed.

You can also go to the Kingsnake Breaders/Dealers/Store page, click on every link, one by one, and absorb all the info you see. You will gain lots of insight and be able to become much more experienced as you do begin to own snakes.

If you really do love the animals and the hobby, you will be itching to find MORE info to read.. these days with so many new beautiful morphs and locality animals emerging, you'll almost never be caught up!

Take care, Joe Rollo - Bci Joe
