Another pretty Peru redtail juvenile...

This guy, also born here last year, has an interesting look. Note the reduced, and somewhat blocky saddles. And the combination of red tail saddles, wide cream spaces and black peepering on the sides is great..

BTW, when these are very small, they can absolutely hate you for trying to take their picture! If they can't craw away they'll turn themselves inside-out trying to scare you off (it has worked on me more than once). It must be something about the camera lens looking right at them and hovering over them like some giant predator eye.. when they get to about this size or age they resond to handling and posing for a photo a lot better!
