I hope its not possible at all casue then there would people who made them breed together, and then what the hell would we be left with. Like alot of hybrid leopard geckos....doesnt sound very interesting to me. Either way, i dont think its possible casue i think they are similar but still technically far from related....They arn't even the same Genus, so I dont think that its possible to mix the two.

similar on the outside, different on the inside, they could breed, but noting would ever be produced

Yea, I don't even think they are in the same family. Think of a human mating with a horse or something. It wont work even tho we're both mammals.

um, someone posted this before (maybe on the OTHER forum?) but pointed out that even though lions and tigers are not in the same genus, they can and do, with encouragement or AI cross breed. maybe it was horses and donkeys? something like that. point is, just b/c two animals are in seperate classifications, does not neccasarily mean they CANNOT be crossed. it does, at least in my book, mean that they SHOULDNT be.

It's a known fact that the two will breed together yes, but will not produce fertle eggs. It has been tried many times so don't put the burden of going thru the egg laying process and producing no offspring on the female. They have diff requirements although simular and shouldn't even be kept together.

The folks in hybrid forum might be better help. They have mated diff types of monitor lizards and kingsnakes with cornsnakes which are very diff.
I myself like hybrids and think it would be neat. Hybrids do sell.
