AFT shedding problem

EBC Jan 06, 2005 01:34 PM

Hi, my AFT is having trouble with a piece of skin stuck to the tip of his tail. I've tried misting the area with lukewarm water, and have also tried removing it myself (but he's too squirmy). Any advice on what shedding aid products work best for geckos? Thanks! ~ Erin

Erin,
Fill up a little tupperware (or like it) with warm water so that he can stand in it, Deep enough that it covers him about half way up his body, but not to deep... get me.
Let him stay in that about 5 minutes, then like you are petting his tail, rub the shed and ut should come off.

Second way is to let it stand in the palm of your hand and place your hand under a faucet (cool to warm) everything below 97 degrees feels cooler to us. Let the water run on its tail. after a few minutes the water should start removing the shed. Dont plast the water. Just above a trickle will work.
