Paulsoni og carianata?

Aka2212 Jan 06, 2005 02:46 PM

Hi!!

I recently got a shipment of WC C. Carianata home from indonesia. But one of the snakes seem quite larger compared to the other adult animals and a friend of mine ment it to be a paulsoni insted of carianata.
Can anyone help me ID? I was told that it could be identified from the head so i have posted a headshot

Thanks

Jakob

The snake in the picture is a friend of mine's, and measure about 33 inches, and is a male. Thats why I find it very hard to believe its a C. carinata!!! Im, still guessing for paulsoni, but Im far from an expert in that area!!!

If it´s a male 33" sounds like a paulsoni.
You should see a difference in body shape the carinatas are more tree dwellers than paulsoni.

Could you post a full body picture ?

Do you have any idea where in Indonesia it where caught ?

I forget to mention that all carinatas should have a white spot right after the anal scale which paulsonis don´t.

H'mm. I'd really want to see a full body shot, but...

That looks like a Paulsoni to me ...

Then again, I'm not an expert, but I had one of each (Carinata and Paulsoni) myself for a long time.
