Search Function within a specific forum....

PHFlame Jan 06, 2005 07:09 PM

I went and asked the developer for this website how to restrict the search function to only one forum. This is the info that I got from him:

For example, if I wanted to see all the info on fruit flies that has been posted here on the arrow frog forum, I would type

fruit flies arrow frogs

All four words, separated by a space. And yes, put a plus sign in front of the first letter of each word.

So it's (Plus Sign)fruit(space)(Plus Sign)flies(space) etc.

I tried it, and it worked! I hope this helps to refine your searches here on Kingsnake.com

is to tell the search engine that those are mandatory words that must be included in the search. The first two words (or however many words you use before the last words that are part of the forum's name) are required to be used in each post that is cited, and arrow frogs are also mandatory words that tell the search engine to restrict the search to the arrow frog forum ONLY!

Hope this clarifies it a bit more.
