Pacman acting strange

laws-yes Jan 06, 2005 09:16 PM

Ok my pacman has been burying and unburying himself for long periods of time since the beginning of November.Hes not brumating cause hes not in a cocoon thing. He'll come out for like one day after being under for 1-2 weeks and go right back under. When he comes out and I offer him food he doesn't accept it.Any ideas? He also calling alot.I can hear him at night calling but it doesn't sound anything like the samples I have heard.Hes in a 10 gallon cage its 84 degrees on the warm side and around 72 on the cold side.Hes around 3 inches long( and wide).I've had him since the beginning of october and he ate great for the first 4 weeks then started doing this.He eats large crickets and superworms that are calcium dusted.Any ideas?

thanks

I wouldn't worry. If he's not hungry he won't eat. On that topic though, I would be feeding small or large comets (feeder fish) if he's that big. Crickets won't fill him up enough at that size. He could probably already take either fuzzies or even full grown mice as well.

Well he does eat like 3 dozen of them at one time along with 6 superworms. But maybe he is refusing food now because hes feels its too small?Question on feeder fish can they be frozen and fed or do I have to set up another aquarium with a heater and stuff?
