Housing Different Species Together?

JOSTA Jan 07, 2005 01:19 PM

Can someone out there tell me, would it be safe to house different species of Uro's together while young? For example, a Niger and an Ornate...

Thanks

Personally, I do not and would not house different species together - they may have different body languages, creating LOTS of added stress to an already stressful captivity. However, I know many people do mix species. And, I even heard Doug Dix say at a show that you can do so, if you're careful (watchful), know what you're doing, and are keeping mellower and more closely related species.
