Any littoralis breeders out there? I have a question...

lateralis Jan 07, 2005 04:23 PM

I have a reverse trio of Texas DB's, one is a light phase with a cinnamon colored shell, the other two are normal. I have them outdoors and they are in a state of hibernation now but Im curious as to when they initiate breeding. They are all adults raised from cbb, and are now in their 4th year. They do not have access to dry land but I will be moving them to an inground pond in the spring I hope. If it does not happen, can you suggest any means of providing a nesting area within a 220 gallon stock tank?
Thanks in advance
Brett

I use a stock tank for water. I built a gang plank to a mortar tub filled with sand. This is their basking/laying area
