Here is another picture of my beautiful girl, Dill.
She is enjoying her dinner of greens mixed with some peas to get her to even take a bite of it...with some papaya on the side for dessert. As you can see, dinner for Dill is a whole body experience! By the time she's done eating...her food is EVERYWHERE! She eats with such enthusiasm!
She's SOOOOO CUTE!!!!
Yes, her hide is made of cardboard, because she has had mites and this way it's "disposable". When she moves into her permanent home, she will have more durable, permanent hides.
Also, yes, her "substrate" is a towel. Again, to make it easier to make sure the pesky mites are gone (easy to scoop out the towel and throw it into a hot water wash)...which I'm sure they are. Also, she is in a glass tank, so it gives her some traction to be able to move more easily.
It is a low pile towel, so the chances of threads wrapping around her toes are slim.
I was worried about her being thin...but now, I'm thinking she might be a little on the chubby side!
Anyway...enjoy the picture of my favourite girl....
