What is the reason for quarantining new leos and for how long should they be quarantined?

the main reason is, the new leo might have something contagious and if you drop him in with the rest of your leos they will all catch it. You keep the new one in a separate cage, preferably in a separate room. How long to quarantine? Everyone has their own idea about that. I'd say at least a month. in that time you get fecals done on him, watch to see if he eats and acts healthy, etc.
