What to do with "surprise burms"

chiropteragirl Jan 08, 2005 03:47 AM

Thanks for not ripping into me folks, but I had to vent. Later that night I found out that the little guys were left on my doorstep because the new boyfriend found them "unattractive pets". I'll stop there. Now my problem is this: there is no "Home for Wayward Pythons" in my area. What should I do with them after I get them back into condition (they are too skinny right now to be shuttled about)? They are alleged to be approx. 8 months old and about 2- 2 1/2 feet. Is that normal or are they too small? They look a bit stunted to me. One sounds a bit whistle-ly so I'm upping the humidity for a couple of days (rep vet will be gone for 3 weeks, of course!), but it could be old shed. I will try and feed fresh killed after the weather clears (snow and ice, woohoo!). Suggestions, opinions?

I would just get them healthy and offer them to good homes for real cheap. There is an adoption section here on ks
