I am new at this, but my daugher got an african pixie bullfrog for christmas. I've been reading alot in here about frogs, but theres not alot about the african bullfrogs. Are the african and pac mans about the same?? and what is brumating?? Will my daughters frog do this??? Thanks alot to anyone who can answer.

It's hibernating. Which for those kinds of frogs essentially means burrowing under the ground, forming a "cacoon" of skin over themselves, and staying there for a few weeks.

I have a dwarf pyxie. The care is pretty much the same as w/ a pacman. My pyxie brumated for 4 months last year! I just check him about once a week & spray him about once a week. Spraying more often will wake him up, so don't do this until spring.
