Lost my AUGGIE, 6 years old ** A BIG lose :0(

PHEve Jan 08, 2005 11:19 AM

I will remember this look forever, in the pic below, as you know that high flalutin kind of way they have, where they stand tall, and just turn their eyes instead of their head.

Auggie was my first lizard 6 years ago. He was always a Lazy lizard, but we Laughed because of it, and that was just Auggie.

When ever I passed his cage, from the time he was a baby till the middle of the night last night, I would always say
"Auggie Auggie" and he would turn an look, as to say Eve, Eve, LOL

Anyway lazy or not, the one thing most I loved about him was his GENTLENESS, never as much as opened his mouth at me or another lizard in 6 years. and there are many.
When out he would bask( a basking spot on the reptile floor) along side a small collared or even provide a nice fat cushiony place for the little lizard to sit.

Fat, Lazy, Handsome, Gentle, and My FRIEND, he wil be missed that Auggie Auggie.

Thats about all I want to say about it, just like I always say to many of you guys, who have felt the same sadness, hes in a great place now with all your dragons you lost, and having a great time.

Auggie, my bearded buddy

Oh Eve I'm sorry you lost your big boy Auggie It's a shame they just can't live forever with us as they all are so very special. I lost one of my females this year and God did that hurt bad. She passed from cancer, and it was totally unexpected at the young age of two, and being so very strong and healthy till her last month. I feel your pain and know how very much Auggie will be missed. Hang in there and remember all the good times you shared with Auggie Auggie, and his great personality, and gentleness.

Eve...I'm very sorry to hear about him passing away. I know he was not doing well, and you were doing your very best...as you always are able to do.

I'm sure if anyone would have been able to keep him alive, it would have been you. It was not meant to be...simple as that.

Sorry again for your loss.

don't bother replying to this message, as you know I made the special trip over here just for you

I'm so sorry to here about your loss of Auggie. I just lost my buddy Smeagol a few weeks ago so I know how your feeling. It's just good to know that they are in good company together in that better place.

I know how much you loved the big boy! He was so lucky to have you for a mommy! Every creature should be so lucky. He is up in Herp Heaven chasing two legged crickets (perfect for lazy lizards) and basking in the sun! Take care!

I am so sorry for your loss. I recently lost one of my beardies on thanksgiving night. He had had intestinal parasites and we didn't know about it since it was our first time owning dragons. I had purchased Draco at the timonium reptile show in september along with tetra, my girl, who is still alive. Anyway, draco had prolapsed, and if you don't know that means that he was trying to push his intestines out, it was nasty looking. We rushed him to a vet on sunday and he pushed everything back up inside and stitched draco's flap in one place, but it came back out. Our normal doctor didn't come back 'till friday but draco coulden't hold on that long. I miss him so much. When I read your message I started crying. I never did get any pictures of him, I do have one of tetra but I don't know how to put in on here for all of you to see. Again, I feel for you, and I am so sorry for you, at least he is in a good place now.

Eve I am very sorry for your loss.

By the way you described it, Auggie seemed to have a very happy life with you and your human and reptilian family.

I hope that with time your wounds will heal and maybe some day in the future, you will find another bearded just like Auggie.

I know that no other animal can ever replace one you have lost, but it can help fill that empty space in your heart left by one you have lost.

Rest In Peace Auggie- May Angels Lead You In.

Oh Eve, I'm so sorry. I just read your post and I cried when I read your sad story about Auggie. I'm sure he's with my recently departed Lizzy. Those two can run through the fields chasing crickets and bask endlessly in the warm sun.

I visited your website for the first time this morning, before I read about Auggie passing. And I must say that you've done an amazing job with your website. I love all of the colorful lizards you have! My gosh - you have a lot of reptiles!!! And I love the photos! Auggie was a beautiful dragon and it sounds like you have many wonderful memories of Auggie.

You're in my thoughts ... take care of yourself.

*Hugs*

I am so sorry for your loss I really can't say I know how you feel as we are new beardie owners but I can say they have grown as part of our family in the short amount of time we have had them. Auggie was a beautiful dragon.
