Handling?

Ziskin Jan 08, 2005 05:02 PM

My daughter bought a bearded dragon over the holidays. First of all, I must say that the entire family is much more interested and involved in the care of the dragon than I thought we would be. Personally, I thought that with it being a reptile it would not show much activity or personality, but I have been very much mistaken! This young dragon has been a complete joy to experience and we are all very very happy she bought her!
Now on to the question... Is there a problem with handling a dragon "too much"? She likes to take her out of her cage several times a day, just to hold and talk to her, nothing rough. I'm concerned that perhaps we are handling her too much and thought I would post here for some "expert" opinions on the matter.
Regards,
Ziskin

Well you can take them out for a little bit at a time but they shouldn't be away from a heat source for too long. They need it to digest their food and keep healthy;but there shouldn't be any problems with having it out for a little while a couple times a day.
