finally starting to get comfortable with this camera

these photos were taken with a D70, 50mm F.18 nikkor, white balance auto, ISO 200, Shot in aperature priority mode F/11, with a tripod. I love the way they turned out, all adjustements were made inside the camera...no photoshop required. Sure wish i had one of those macro lenses....sigh

Looks like they're taken with no flash - what do you use for ambient lighting? Mark

the pics would be better if I use more then one light, but I kind of like the shadows...makes it look a little more real.

That one has some giant eyes similar to what a chondro would have! I always like it when an animal has big eyes.

that the males usually have the buggy looking eyes to match their narrow heads.
