I be KING!

Well at least half according to the latest marvel to arise from the (ever accurate(lol) Science fiction Channel.

KING COBRA has the merry band of small town folk at their annual Beer Festival (the only plus in the film) dealing with a thirty foot Hybrid between a King cobra and a rattlesnake!

Sparing the incredibly bad plot and acting it had a few educational(?) highlights which needed to be passed on to budding herpers...

The first was when they found the shed skin (complete with the rattle's covering skin). Yes folks, this rattlesnake sheds skin off it's rattles too!

The second gem came when herpetologist to the stars old Pat (The Karate Kid teacher) Pronunced that the snake was a cross between Ophiophagus hannah, the AFRICAN King Cobra-and Bitis jararacussu, the Rattle snake.

Of course there was also the necessary girl in bra and panties victim, the man watching TV who sees the hooded beast reflected in the set and wonders if he should change channels and the fun let's play tag with the thirty foot snake trap....Pat dies, people die, the plot died....Another SciFi classic!!!! HooraY?

the rednecks hunting rabbits with deer rifles ,especially the one who says, while curling his rifle, "I always wanted me a pair of them snakeskin boots". Also, if I remember right, didn't the cobra spit venom and have the hood markings of an Indidn cobra? Seems like a hybrid of more than the two species. Maybe Ophiophagus atrox naja reticulatus mossambica?

That you've never heard of the King Rattle-spitter? What kind of herper are you?
