I wake up this morning, to find my female Mossy missing, I looked everywhere in their home. SO I lifted up the large grape vine, and there she is half covered in moss.
I was like OH an EGG..WRONG unfortunately. What she was doing was covering her body in moist moss, so she could finish shedding the lower half of her body. I was truly amazed I had never seen this type of behavior before. Usually I just see them shed in front of me on a limb.
Well she crawled out before she finished, so I helped her first by spraying her down and letting it soak in a bit, and then gently held a piece of skin, while I let her move her own body to pull free from the old skin.
It was very interesting to see this. I was quit surprised she would "know" to do that.
Well it was a cool story..
Bye
