How much do you feed a gold dust gecko?

takydromus Jan 09, 2005 07:14 PM

I notice that in many care sheets and forum entries, it is suggested that you feed them 3 to 4 times a week in the warm/breeding season and 2 or 3 times in the off season. However, I haven't found HOW MUCH to feed them - small crickets &
fruit.

Suggestions??

I was feeding my pairs 2 dozen small crickets every couple of days, with maybe a tablespoon of fruit babyfood in between. Hatches 7 healthy babies this year like that from one pair.

Thank you very much! I will try that and see how it goes.
Can you feed them too much? Will they over-eat? Did you have any problems with extra crickets bothering them?

In my experience with them, there is no such thing as extra crickets

Thank you again!!!
I have given them more crickets as you suggested and there are none left except a couple which have found good hiding places & come out only a night.
