Does anyone know how to check if a Tegu is a male or female?

You have two options: You can Prob them or have them probbed, OR You could wait till they reach about 18-26 inches. Then it's visual as males are much bigger and have jawls.

Thank's for your answer. I don't speak english too well. Can you explain "jawls"?

Jowls: The flesh under the lower jaw, especially when plump or flaccid.

Contrary to what some people may think, jowls (the cheeks) are NOT a reliable indicator of sex. While females don't develop jowls, not all males do. On older tegus (>1year), feel to either side of the cloaca. Males develop bumpy, knobish scales on either side, females do not.
