Saturday night,, almost a month to the day after laying 8 eggs
she has laid another 9.

Am a little worried and dont want her laying too many clutches a year...

when should i think about serparating her from Dave,, IE after 6 batches a year ?!?!?!?

certainly this time she seems fine,
which is my main concern.
no idea if they are fertile yet, and still not sure about the first batch,, but should fine out soon,

funky

They always lay again about 3-4 weeks after the last clutch, and can lay 3 -4 clutches a season.

They retain sperm from the first breeding (if she bred with him) So it would not have mattered if she had been seperated from him she still probably would have layed these. And maybe one more time after this. Have to see.

I have one who layed 4 clutches last season, my Hopi. She really seems quite beat since. I did not brumate her or the male who mated with her (Zuni) I'm hoping they will not be FRISKY this year. Or I will take her out, give her a year with no breeding.

Glad Grumpys doing okay, hope her eggs are fertile,

Take care Funky,
