Breeding crickets.....>>>>

Cleopatra Jul 04, 2003 11:35 AM

How hard is it to breed crickets??? I have some babies hatching soon and have mealies but was wondering if I could breed some crickets for them. I have plenty of big, female crickets and quite a few males. I was just thinking of putting some of that Forest Bed soil in the third drawer of my Sterilite storage area and placing some females in there with a few males. How long does it take for cricket eggs to hatch???

I've found that crix are harder to care for then geckos. They will hatch between 9 and 13 days, depending upon the temps. Things you have to keep in mind are: temperature, moisture, dry/wet food. If you meet all those you should be ok. Let me know if you have any more specific questions. Hope this helps, and good luck!
