Good luck on getting the boa! Either your extremely excited, or you were hammering Jack Daniels as you wrote that post, because your typing skills went right out the window. It started out legible, then all hell broke loose-LOL!!! YES, it was that bad! Just giving you a hard time though, shoot us some pics when you get your new boa home. Take care

And as Gus said, apologies, we're just poking fun and not trying to get you upset. I really hope you get your boa. Anyway, this was my favorite quote..

"just have to get 2 good reptocard wish me luck."

I believe it would be Report Cards...this was not a good sign toward that goal! LOL, take care!

I have read some of your posts, just take some time if you can.

It is nice to see another kid getting started, are you 15? I just started last summer in 2003 after I turned 15, actually my first boa was a month later. Hey get a job and save up, make friends and learn it can only be a good experience. I know it has been for me. This summer I will be 16 and my collection is currently 14 boas, well after I recieve the last two, and I have a pair ready for next season.

I started with a normal Colombian, I have expanded and now only morphs or locales. I am getting set for college to be breeding then, and hopefully help pay for it if all goes well.

Shoot me an email, just click on my name to send a private message. Good luck. It is good to ask questions, keep them coming. We are here to help, and have a little fun, lol.

One recomendation, get what you like, don't put restrictions and compensate you won't be happy. It sounds like you REALLY like the hog, great go for it. Just do not because it is cheap and stays small. I am thankful to have the space to keep my snakes, even though they have growing to do, only two large boas. I have the support of my parents, but honestly my collection was funded by me. I even bred my first snakes last year, Rough Scale Sand Boas.

Like I said take the time to educate yourself about the animals to find what is best for you, then look into care for its entire life, make sure you can afford it and go for it.

I have worked through refereeing soccer in the fall and spring, and a part time job since the summer at a hardware store. Combined with school and maintaining my gpa, then working and takeing care of the snakes.

It is hard, but rewarding hobby.

Sorry for the long post.

Chris
