ackie issue

snowsoul Jan 10, 2005 11:04 AM

well i recently got a new cage for him it a 75 gallon glass tank, so i went out and tried to find dirt all i found was potting soil with mircale grow or cow poo and since i live near a old junkyard and the grounds frozen can't dig it up nor do i trust the dirt either. So what i ended up getting him was the block stuff that you add to water and it expands this many times bigger than its regular size cause that was the only thing close enough i could find to dirt. Ok heres where the issue is hes not digging, not eating that i know of, and stays on one side of the tank. Now the one error i thought of was that the substrate wasn't deep enough and he might not like it. So i went out and bought as much cypress much as i could get and am going to putting it on top of the dirt to make it deeper since he liked the mulch better. IM going to attach somes pics of the tank for you he spends most of his time in the greyish log in the back left corner he seems to stay only on the left half of the tank. thanks a bunch for any help you can give me also on the top of the tank i put the glass canpoy that it came with to cover the openings to help with the mosture and on the left side its halfway open for the ceramic heater emitter. thanks a bunch i know youll correct if anythings amiss
