good plant/tree for ig?

razordance Jan 10, 2005 11:44 AM

We've done some rearranging, and the room that we use as a TV room will now be the room that Ike spends most of his out of enclosure time in. The room is also home to the 2 birds. We have a free corner and would like to put in a plant or tree that Ike can climb and the birds can perch on when they're out. Does anyone have any suggestions for a suitable, non-toxic plant or tree? We'd prefer something inexpensive enough to be replaced as often as necessary, or one that will regenerate quickly enough to allow him to munch (Since we know he will anyway...)

Thanks

You can try those cat trees. You know, those carpet ones. I stole Ig-Daddy´s idea (lol) and it works just fine! My igs will spend the whole day basking on it.
It´s a good idea.
Good luck,
Later,
Dan

We've thought of this but prefer something more natural if possible.

The only tree I can think of off the top of my mind is, a Ficuss tree. I have seen some for about 150-200 dollars that are 6-7 feet tall. I think your Iguana would tear it up though. And your birds would poop on it.
