Feeding problems

dubzilla Jan 10, 2005 04:21 PM

Sorry I'm posting alot of questions, but I'm nervous about my froggle. I'm putting fruit flies into the terrarium, and they seem to be disappearing, but I can't figure out if he's eating them, or they're falling in the water to their death. I haven't actually seen him eat anything. Am I just being ridiculously worried? Or how do I know when to actually panic?

dubzilla,
I would take him out of the viv. Set up a quarantine tub and observe him. You should know within a few days wether he/she is eating.

He/she is probably doing O.K. But you should put any new frog into a smaller nursery tank before introducing it to your terrarium. That gives you the opportunity to observe how it eats, as well as its over-all health.
