Hey Crestiefolk,
Got Bartlett's book on Crested Geckos and Their Relatives, and a couple bits of info I was hoping for seemed to be missing:
1. What temps should cresteds be kept at?
~and~
2. What is their life span?
Thanks!

70-80 (not above) are good temps, but they can drop to the high 60s and still be fine.
A while.
There are Cresteds collected as adults in the wild still thriving 9 years later. So it's estimated between around 15 years to 30.
Sorry for the hazy second answer. Cresteds really haven't been in collections long enough to have that much info on their lifespans.
It feels like I'm peddling this book everywhere, but I'm suprised that not many people seem to have read it; check out "Rhacodactylus: The Complete Guide to their Selection and Care" by Philippe de Vosjoli, Frank Fast, and Allen Repashy.

Ive got to second the motion .My lovely lady purchased the book from Anthony's web site for a Xmas gift. 10 months of this forum the other two Gecko books and countless web sites and I still learned a great deal from the book. The only downside to the book was now a couple dozen cresteds just don't seem enough.. some gargoyles and maybe a leachie or two might just be necessary .... You need this book if your at all serious about Rhacs
