Why did Bush feel so morally obligated to free the Iraqis? You should rent the Farenheit 911 video and see what Baghdad was like before US invaded on the extras. The people are happy and smiling. You could almost mistake it for America. I don't want to get in to Farenheit 911, i was just using it for an example. But why hasn't Bush stepped into a closer country. There are MANY countries to chose from that are oppressive and that he could gather some false intelligence to say there are WMDs in. Like Mexico. Maybe if he fought the corruption there, he wouldn't need to give 3,000,000 Illegal Immigrants legal residence in America. Or maybe Africa. There isn't 1 country there that is stable. Thank you

I don't know what is worse: This war or that the people in the U.S. re-elected a liar...

Meanwhile the blood toll for the U.S. army is high and its even higher for the innocent citizens of Iraq. Nevertheless Bush was re-elected. As a foreigner I don't understand this.

Re-Election of Bush was fueled by FEAR..which itself was promoted by the CORPORATELY owned and operated MEDIA. A good percentage of the American public was stupid enough to feed into this fear. Kerry was a non-candidate and seen as "weak", which in the face of never ending fear(Once again perpetuated by our media) made him an unlikely prospect. I chalk it up to not enough critical thinking.

Frankly..Hermann, the war in Iraq IS much worse than Bush getting elected. It is a human rights violation of the HIGHEST caliber. Kerry stated that he would have kept the troops there also. He too is beholden to Corporate Interests and greed. He was a pathetic choice..Bush is an even WORSE one. This is what we are supplied with to choose from.

As a German you are NOT supposed to understand this...unless you rewind to Hitlers heyday..then it becomes only TOO clear, same tactics(As Bush) same hysteria (Courtesy the governemnt run media) and same rabid patriotism...unquestioning of its leaders...btw Clinton sucked too.
