eating problems

Aside from the crickets chewing through the cage, they also seem to have way to many places to hide, so Roan doens't seem to be catching to many of them. We went to the feeder cup, first a milk jug cup open and screen attached (like John suggested) but they just jumped out. They are now in a plastic cup, but he doesn't even seem to notice it is there. He even holds on to the sides of the cup when looking for food, but he never eats them.
So were thinking about using worms as a staple diet. I think silk worms were mentioned on here before as being a suplement for crickets. How many should we order, how do you gutload them, and I heard that chams are more attracted to green. Is there a green supplement we can shake them in to make them more appealing. He gave up on the wax worms after a few feedings.

In regards to roan not eating the crickets in a cup, my panthers all do that when they are first introduced to cup feeding. Im guessing that this confuses them since there are so many crickets, he's having a hard time picking which to aim at. eventually they will get used to it and eat normally out of it. In regards to silks, im 99% positive that he'll enjoy those better. the advantages of silks are that the chams love them, they dont stink, they are easy to feed, and you can feed fewer(not less). The gutload for silks is a power that you prepare with boiled water (very easy to do). they also eat fresh mulberry leaves. overall much easier to deal with. i got this one male panther that sucks at hunting. he can't aim and his tounge is shorter than normal. silks are slow and perfect for him.
