Boiga Dendrophilia -eating problems

chas*e Jan 10, 2005 09:31 PM

I have had 1.1 Mangrove snakes for over 6 weeks they are not eating. When I initially purchased them they looked a bit undernourished so I hydrated them with a pedialite soak. They were inactive so I tubed them with my concoction of puried dog food with suppliments. They took to the tubing really easy..uuumm...anyways they became active in the evenings, as I suspected. I have tried gechos, mice(live/thawed) and goldfish...nothing....
Any suggestions

how exactly have you tried feeding?
I recently got a wc mang and it has eaten live rat pinks both times offered. I have fed it at night and covered the cage door with a blanket. Mine seems pretty shy and i think they dont like much going on when feeding.
was it eating before you got it??
You could try chicks also.
