New Species of Turtle!

Burmaboy Jan 10, 2005 09:56 PM

I was in my local pet shop today, and was checking out the turtles...and they had for sale, one Ornate Red Eared Slider!!
Oddly, all I saw in the tank, was a RES, Western Painted, and a CA Wood.
When I asked them to point out the ornate slider, I was shown the Wood.
Ok, they are colorful. But certainly not a RES.
When I mentioned this to them, the attendant in as much said I was wrong. And that was most certainly an ornate RES.
Oh well..Stop at Petland, and you can be the first to own this new species!
Actually the price was pretty good for CA Wood Turt...$29

sounds like they're keeping an ornate wood improperly. thats what ill guess it was. $29 is cheap for them too.

I think you can go to www.planetfeedback.com and complain to the main Petland office that their franchises are not giving out the proper information. Although each individual store is privately owned, the HQ will pull thier name from a franchise if there are problems.
