I've never heard of Eucolyptus bedding, but I would think it's similar to cedar, very aeromatic with oils. Probably not a good thing to have any snake in, I'd go with something else like orchid bark.

I'd frankly advise against using eucalyptus mulch. I've heard somewhere that eucalyptus has some toxins in the live plant. If you look at a stand of live growing eucalyptus trees, there's virtually no other kind of plant growing under them. Which does not bode well for a snake baby.
I'd recommend newspaper. It's butt ugly, but it's cheap, safe, doesn't harbor parasites or wood dust, doesn't have toxic or irritating oils, can't be ingested, it's quick to clean, and so on.
And if your snake needs a laugh, you can always give him or her the funny pages.
