I was taking a close look at my sidewinder when I noticed that the substrate that i have been using, crushed walnut, has become lodged into each of the two heat snsing pits. SO I checked out my mojave green and she has the same problem. Now what do you do to get these "boogers" out without spending a couple of days in the hospital??? Please help, thanks in advance

If taken to a veterinarian several days should not be needed. If they should come out easy with tweezers and you're comfident you can do this without harming these sensitive areas then tubing the snake (in a tube with appropriately placed access holes) will allow this to be done. If the snakes fight this to much than a veterinarian will be needed to sedate the animals.

Also make sure to change the substrate.
