Is the FlexWatt tape hot enough to heat an enclosure properly if we are using slate tiles as a substrate? For example, can they provide enough heat through the tile? I am already thinking about a bigger, better enclosure. I'm nuts!

I use flex watt tape under some of my aquariums, and its still gets hot enough to get through the glass and the tiles.

lol. go for it! Flex watt showld heat up the tiles, if tiles conduct heat like ppl have been saying it does. You'll just have to experiment with how much flex watt to get the right amount of heat. It's better to have it able to get a little too warm, then put it on a rheostat or thermostat so you can dial it down. Then you can always dial it up too. have funzzzzzzz!
