Perlite Question...

-JayDog- Jan 11, 2005 02:02 PM

I know that Perlite is a plant product, But are there some types of Perlite that are not recommended for incubation? If I got to Home Depot to buy a bag, will the "Scott's" brand be ok? Is there a certian ingrediant in one brand of Perlite that is not in other that I should stay away from?

Thanks

all perlite is pretty much the same, so you can go ahead and use it

Don't buy the one with extra plant food in it.

I use vermiculite, that stuff is the best.
Back me up leaftail!

ermiculite holds more H2O and looks cool. Thats the only reason I use it over Perlite.

If Albey uses it, it must be good.
