Defecating in the Water bowl

Ppk Jul 04, 2003 01:34 PM

Eww, my savannah monitor Jango likes to take a crap in his huge water bowl which I got last week. He soaks in it twice a day and when he does he takes a dump. Will he keep doing this? I have to clean his bowl every day now and its pretty gross.

Most do in my experience. I think is better becaus e you don't have to get it out of the dirt with a paper towel. How big is it. ( not the crap, the lizard)

Last time I measured him he was almost a foot (w/tail), but that could have changed since he shed off his belly and I notice that he will shed again (signs of gray skin on his back and tail). His feces were never this big since hes starting to grow more and he now eats mice.

have you ever owned a dog ? even a small dog that was maybe a 1.5 feet long or so. they have pretty big crap. why on earth would you think a lizzard woul not ?

Yes I have 2 dogs. Their crap is normal size. He takes huge dumps now that he eats mice. Dont need to be mean.

I dunno, I actually think its easier scooping it up out of the soil using a paper cup.
