Spying on baby cham

jeffreypeacock Jan 11, 2005 03:38 PM

I rigged a webcam that extends all the way to his cage in the other room and to my computer. Now I can watch him and keep a close eye on him without the stress!. Its perfect, I feel a little creepy watching him like a stalker lol

Hey don't feel bad, I set up a video cam. in my Chams room to make sure they weren't doing anything "odd". It's the only way for me to know because I work from 7am to 6pm. I also take an inventory of how much food they have in the morning to make sure they are eating and to make sure they have plenty to eat.

I think it is adorable that you guys do that! I am fortunate to work from home but I have a step stool that puts me at a height where I can peer into her cage from above/side and she usually will not notice me (her cage is in a 3-sided closet of sorts so she has no side or back views - just top and front). During her recent problems I actually put my sunglasses on a few times so she couldn't see my eyeballs!! LOL!! what we won't do for our chams, huh!

Well, it's not as silly as emptying out an entire closet so I could hide inside hoping to catch my fussy deremensis eating! He always knew I was there and just stared at the closet door until I gave up and came out.

Hey you gotta do what you gotta do!! I've gotten pretty creative. I have a green camerflauged blanket in Stitch and Chloe's room and when I want to hang out with them I wrap myself up in it!! It works. They don't see me at all!! (They're propably saying to each other, "oh boy here comes the crazy lady again. Maybe her blender is broken. We should just act like we don't see her so we won't hurt her feelings!" I Have the blanket on a chair so they are used to seeing it there.
I think every Cham owner has done it at least once in thier lives!!!!
