New Year's suprise!!!

herperboy Jan 11, 2005 04:55 PM

I walked into my herp room this afternoon to find my two "male" ball pythons copulating. They were brumated only because i was brumating my uros, and they are all in the same room. So i am really excited (to say the least) that i might have some babies in the fall. The funny thing is that i had no plans of breeding because i thought i had all males. Wish me luck!

They may still be males. Males have been known to copulate with each other. Only way to find out is to have them sexed.

I agree with Mykee! I once had two male corn snakes "copulate"... one of the males was way more "laid back" and when he was younger he appeared to have allowed to "more wired" male do his thing. However, the following year, when the "laid back" male got bigger and wiser, there's just no way he ever allowed to "more wired" male to do anything ever again!

Get them probed by somebody with experience probing snakes, that's the only way you'll know for sure.. unless you actually have one of them lay eggs this year heh!

Bristen.
