My male leo won`t eat. He hasn`t eaten in almost a month. His tail is almost gone. I have taken him to two different vets and they both say he is ok. He is housed in a small plastic cage with uv light and undertank heat. He drinks plenty of water and is housed on paper towels. He has room to roam and a place to hide. he isn`t impacted. I haven`t changed his diet of mealworms and crickets. I tryed waxworms but he won`t eat them either. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Make sure he has a proper temperature gradient...one side room temp, the other side heated. If the tank is smaller than a 10gallon tank, it is almost impossible to setup a satisfactory temp gradient. Are you sure he isn't too hot???

I agree with cleo...make sure it isn't too hot, but I had the same problem with one of my females, and she finally ate last night, and it was SUPERWORMS...have to love them. I just got some yesterday because I tried everything else, and she loved them. They sometimes get tired of the same type of food. Make sure it isn't too hot though, 90 degrees is the hottest you should go. And also, the tank should be at least 10 gallons like cleo said. Hope this helps some.

everything they said is great. you also should remove the UV lamp. it does leopard geckos little good, as they are nocturnal, and often annoys them.

your head will collapse, but there's nothing in it, and you'll ask yourself, "where is my mind"
