Is it a very shy eater? LTC's are sometimes very shy animals.

He will eat up to one medium sized rat once weekly! He is not a shy feeder at all - in fact when he smell the defrosted rat he comes out of his hide and waits in the strike position until it goes in! I know this species is reported as being delicate so I'm always very careful to keep his stress levels to a minimum so I try and feed him at night and as soon as he grabs it leave him alone.

Considering how delicate moellendorffi w/c's have been in the past, it's heartening to hear of one that is thriving. I figure in a few years I'm bound to be looking into them and the more stock out there the better my chances of finding what I want. So I have a selfish motive in being happy for you.
