Problem with my beardie!

wyn Jan 11, 2005 08:28 PM

I have a bearded dragon that is about 8 months old and has been in great condition the whole time i'v had it.

Not long ago i dicovered a litle raise in his skin on his back, sort of a puff or a wart of somekind. its very small, about have a centimetre long and about 2 or 3 millimetres wide. At first i thought it was just his skin curling and wrinkling up when his body turned, but there is no doubt, it stays up when the rest of his skin in flat and its definetly not the same colour as his body, its sort of a tan/brown colour that doesnt go with the reat of his body. I think there are a couple scales on it so im pretty sure its part of him, not a bug but it definetly doest belong.

If some people could leave some suggestions as to what it might be or how i can stop it, please let me know, because my mom really doesnt want to pay the vet bill!

thanks alot!!!

A pic would be helpful,it could be cyst or abcess. It's hard to tell with out a pic. Seeking a vet might be a good idea. sorry mom.
