Hello all. I've been reading the board for about 3 months now. Thanks to you all I was able to "adopt" my niece's green iguana. Jub Jub was a prize at a county fair and finally proved him (or her) self to be too much worry for the kid and her family. The poor thing had no heat lamp and was fed bugs because "he eats them".
After a few months of just letting him acclimate to the hubbub around here and occasional cat staring in at him and the usual bath time/enclosure cleaning routine...my husband and I have been taking him out just to hang out with us. It's going better than I had expected and just wanted to let you know that it's because of the information that you have all shared that we're able to give him the home that he deserves. So Jub Jub thanks you, too. :O)

Nice looking iguana. Good to see he has a good home.

That's a very pretty iguana! Glad to see he's in capable hands. I can't believe they give iguanas as prizes at fairs though. I've seen that happen in my area, and it horrifies me.
